Alpha 1 Drive replacement - 1999 290 DA

I am looking for some direction, hints, suggestions on replacing the stock outdrives on my 1999 290 DA. The boat is is great shape with low hours and all the equipment, however original Alpha I outdrives are severely corroded. I'd like to replace them both the most economical way - anyone heard of or used SEI replacement outdrives?

Any guidance or recomendations would be GREATLY apprecaited! Thanks Guys!

I have heard good things about SEI aftermarket stern drives, but I do not have personal experience. The Alpha 1 replacement will bolt right on. I think new SEI drives are probably a good choice for you, since you need new housings due to corrosion.

Yep, I have also heard good things about SEI drives. I am generally skeptical about this type of thing, but guys in the know who work on these say they are built very well.
