Hi, We just acquired our first boat, 280 Sundancer. We had 2 successful trips out and got back to dock with no problems manouvering in. On our 3rd outing we were cruising back for 10 minutes at 3,800 rpm (single 496 HO) , slowed down to under 6 knots alarm sounded, all engine indicators were normal. Unfortunately in my haste to return to dock I hit the port stern into a concrete wall, (see pic). Wondering what kind of cost to repair ?
The reason for the alarm was low drive oil in reservoir. The leg was recently rebuilt and I read that air pockets can cause the oil level in the reservoir to drop after a refill, so hopefully that is all it is. I have refilled reservoir and alarms gone away for now...
