Aft seat on sundecks

Here you go. It's not the best picture but you can see that I use the area to store my cooler, grill and a plastic bin for extra clothes.

Off topic: I need to change this configuration. I get a pretty severe starboard list with all this gear plus a full fresh water tank. I'll be relocating the grill and extra clothes to the other side.

See what I mean....this isn't including my 185 lbs behind the wheel either.

Off topic:

How much does your grill weigh? IMHO - I can't believe that is the only thing creating that list. What do you have under the starboard bow seat & Sink?

Sorry, Back on topic.

Something else must be going on, I've got way more stuff on the Starboard side even with the full cooler, full fresh water, etc I've never noticed a list like that. Do you have a vacuflush system for your head? Since I don't I'm not sure where they put the holding tank for it on the 240.

Cool, Not sure if you ever read about some of our trips, but you would not believe the stuff we have carried on our 240SD. On trip we had 6 people with all their baggage for a long weekend trip. The 240SDs are sure one good work horse. Somebody once said the Sundecks are the SUV while the Selects/Bow-riders are the sports cars.

The storage is the reason we went with the SD instead of the Dancer. It's amazing what you can fit on these boats.

I just emptied my 240 out and I couldn't believe the amount of 'stuff' I had in there. Half of my garage is full!! There is no way I will fit that much stuff in the new boat.

FWIW, the under-helm cabin area of the 270 is larger, longer and deeper than that of the 240.

There is a mattress pad covering the whole thing. A flat queensize sheet can be tucked into the corners to make it bed-like.

A six foot adult can sleep in there but it is snug. At least one's legs can be fully stretched out (I have been in there myself on on occasion). Two kids can be happy in there as well - either for a night or a day resting spot. In reality however, it is best used as day storage.

The cabin window in the 270 does open all the way up and you can easily fit screens if you like.
