Adjusting the park position of a wiper arm

On my 2000 380DA the starboard wiper arm no longer parks in the right position. The motor was replaced by the yard a couple of years ago. It parked in the correct position at the bottom of the windshield but recently it parks near the top. The port wiper is fine.

I’ve checked for loose wires at the motor.
I don’t want to move the arm on the motor because it will cause the wiper to run across the fiberglass.

This is a personal preference thing about where the wiper parks since it otherwise works fine.

Does anyone have any suggestions about how to readjust the park position that doesn’t include moving the arm on the post?

Thank you very much.

Just saw this (11/16/23). I have been unhappy with the wipers on my 2006 40 sundancer da and tried to solve the problem with no real success. On my boat the wiper "system" consists of 3 components, switches, wiper control module and the motor assembly. On my boat the wiper motors are Wexco H131. Go to there web site and dig around and you should find some good info. You could pull your motor assembly and switch the motion start either from left to right or vice versa and then reposition the blade. My best understanding however is that the park movement is built into the motor with control from the wiper control module. I found diagnosing wiper problems was basically throwing parts at it. For me I would have had to buy two motors (~$500 a pop) and the control module at $1000- and hope the switches and wires were good. Note: for me the H131 wiper motor was not standard (3 wire vs 5 wire) and I would have to get "SeaRay" motors from MarineMax. A little late but if it helps great.
