AC Outlets.......

Hi guys got a question ? 1 of my ac outlets is not putting out full power,, I had a fan plugged in durring a rain storm power went and i reset it,After i turring the fan on it dose not blow as strong as it did? I plugged another an same anyone ever encoutered this issue:huh:

I also have more questions than answers before we can help. The thread title is AC outlets. Is that AC like air conditioning, or AC alternating current (120v wall outlets)
If air conditioning, does it work fine with the generator running instead? Please re-ask your questions with more clarity on what you are having problems with, and we will try to help.

Mike,

He clearly states that his "AC outlet" was the issue. He apparently has a fan that is spinning less than it did before he blew a breaker.

My questions to the OP are: Why did you lose power? Surge? Short? Since the fan was plugged in at the time could it have gotten damaged? Did you actually put a meter on the outlet and read what you are getting there?

No doubt a lot of information has been omitted from the original post as others before me have stated.

Get a voltmeter and check the voltage. Check the other outlets. Voltage the same or different. What are the readings? After you tell us what the readings are, maybe someone will be able to help you. If you don't know what I am talking about, call a repairman because you have no business fooling around with electrical problems.
