In my time here on CSR I've taken several cruises and posted pics and videos of them. From the responses to the threads I would say they have been enjoyed by most members.

We're about to take off on a different kind of cruise this week--a land cruise in our motorhome that we bought after selling Beachcomber. It'll be a 12-day trip of about 1100 miles and will involved taking the motorhome on a boat ride. Actually a ferry ride, but hey, who's splitting hairs.

So the unusual question--do most of you want to see pics and videos of the trip?

What say you?

Are we there yet?

If it's anything like "We're the Millers" or "RV", hell yeah! Just no photos of the spider bite, please.

Would love to see pics and hear more about your adventure.
We are exploring the idea of renting or buying a motorhome for winter trips.
Did you get gas or Diesel engine ?

I vote yes.

Would love hearing your observations about the similarities and the differences.

Yep! Dock friends were boaters forever and sold it last year to buy a travel trailer and they both retired and now travel alot. My son has a 26' travel trailer that he has towed all over the country for work (8500 miles towing it). He has a 2018 Grand Design Imagine 2670MK and a 2018 2500 Ram 6.4 Hemi. I told him to buy a dash-cam to record his journeys but it wasn't a priority for him. He put 95,000 miles on the truck since he bought it...lol. But his were all all for work. He lived in his TT while on job sites on the gas pipelines

RV channels are popular on YouTube. Post away.

Where are you going Mike?

Did you get gas or Diesel engine ?
It's a Monaco Cayman XL 35' diesel pusher with a 350hp Cummins.

"Where are you going Mike?"
From here to Mukilteo, grab a ferry to Clinton and spend 4 days on Whidbey Island with the kids and two grand daughters.

Then down to Tenino where we're staying at a winery, then to Gaston, Or and another winery stay, then to Diamond Lake Resort where we'll be for 3 nights. We're meeting some friends/neighbors there.

Then the rest of the trip....well, I'll keep that a mystery for now but it involves boats.

OK, change in plans due to lack of a place to park the RV on Whidbey Island. We're going to take the SUV over there and back then take the RV to Diamond Lake and back and do the mystery stop on the way back.

Post them Mike! Have a great trip!

We took a 62 day "lap of America" kind of RV trip a couple years ago. The year prior, we did the interior national parks in Colorado, Utah and Wyoming. I ran a daily blog to let friends, family and anyone else that was interested follow along. It would probably have been entertaining to many. Not boating related so it wouldn't have crossed my mind to post here, a Sea Ray Facebook page, etc. But, that said, whatever floats your boat. It does no harm.

Is Deception Pass park full?
That place is the coolest. I was stationed at NAS Whidbey back in the day.

I didn't even look there. We planned to park it right at the kids' house and do some "moochdocking but I found out yesterday they don't have power anywhere close to where it would have been parked. Not having power and losing refer/freezer full of food is not really an option.

There will be other trips where we drive it onto a ferry!

You were stationed at Whidbey? You must love the sound of the sub-hunter aircraft when they come to the Tri to do approaches to PSC.

I do see the p3, and love watching it.
I'll attach a pic of Deception Pass RV Park.
We stayed there a couple of years ago.
I reconnected with an old sailor friend and his wife, and we went and visited them.
They're still there, since the early 80's.
The one pic is the disappearing cannons at Fort Casey, they protected the ports of Seattle and Everett if I remember correctly in WW2.
