A Marina Comes To Brooklyn

$324 per ft for seasonal!?

This is great, the more I read their contract the wider my eyes pop up.

July 4th - 1 week minimum stay. $2 per ft for touch and go. I'm curious how long they will stay in business with this attitude.

Well I guess since they stated they are the first new marina in a generation, they think that will float? It's $100 for me to drop someone off at the dock??? Ahahahahahahahahahaha
wait, if I use the dinghy it's only $22

According to the website, this new marina will be opening on May 1st. I still need to get there and see if for myself.

I passed it on Saturday and we struggled to find it as we went bye.
Im still not thrilled with the location theres big water rushing through there and ferry /commercial traffic all day. I know they installed a breakwall but i'd like to see it firsthand

SO update is they don't have permits to allow Transients . Only members / seasonal. They are awaiting permits

Is there a cover charge to go by car to walk around to look too?

Lol... You mean that they forgot to "grease the skids", eh? There is a NY politician pointing to an empty pocket laughing his butt off right now. "They'll get their transients right after this here pocket is full..."

Just got this email today:

Waterfront Enthusiasts,
We are excited to announce that we have received all permits required to open the marina and are now accepting vessels. As you can see in the photo below, within 30 minutes we had our first transient boater (and sail club boat)!
Thank you all for your patience as our team has worked with laser focus to welcome boaters and water enthusiasts to our new marina home.
For slip reservations, please contact our marina office:

For information on our sailing programs or chartered sailboat rentals, please contact our sailing team:

As always, feel free to come by our office at 12 Joralemon Street to check in and ask any questions you may have.
All the best,
Tim
