We have had our new boat for two weekends, but due to my last week of being employed and crummy weather, have only been out on her a few times.

Our old boat had the Raymarine L760 Chartplotter/GPS/Fish Finder system which was okay, but severely lacking in resolution with the chartplotter function. We now have the Raymarine C80 which is really super. I didn't want to get rid of our old primary GPS (a Garmin 492) so I found a place to mount it on our new ride, just using Velcro to mount the base.

The dual GPS displays provide a little more versatility in navigating the narrow Occoquan River.

After practicing using the Axius System on the Potomac River for a couple of hours yesterday, I took photos while at the dock. Later on, I will take a few more and post them.

I forgot to mention...putting up and taking down the canvas in this new 310 Dancer is MUCH easier than it was in the Amberjack 290. Sea Ray did their homework on this !!

Very, very nice, but what's with all those funny looking boats with the big poles sticking out of the middle? You need to change marina's. :)

They are lightning arrestors . They are also useful in discouraging ghosts and other unsavory creatures from visiting the marina :smt101. Some goofy birds like to sit on them to watch me try and dock the boat. I don't mind, but sometimes get a bit angry when they laugh :smt013.

Beautiful boat, be careful with those magazines on the seats of the boat, they can leave an embarrassing stain. Sorry again about that Mr. Webster.

Thanks for posting pics....awesome looking boat. Looks like you are working on chillaxin'............

Congratulations! Fantastic boat in and out.

It looks like I am about 5 or 10 slips down from you in the "Dockbanger." We are looking forward to a much better boating season this year. I spent last year in Iraq so sitting in the dock with a beer and a brush is like heaven. I've only had the boat back there for about two weeks now. Looks like they spent some money while I was gone. Parking and security and I hear rumor of Internet through QYC? If possible, I plan to join QYC this weekend.

Look forward to meeting you and the XO.

Sweet! I've had my new boat in the water for a month and the dealer just called me to tell me that they just got in a new 2008 310DA with twin Mag Horizon 350's with Seacore, DTS, and Axius. Dam, now I'm crunching numbers! I was turned off by the 310DA with V-drives because of the 1.0MPG at cruise, but the reviews show the stern drives getting 1.4MPG at cruise. Don't tell me how easy it is to dock with Axius. Don't remind me how buttery smooth the DTS is and that it has that sync button.

Wes is right ... and try not to let the glass lay on itself. On a hot day ud just have made a plastic sandwich....

Welcome home !!! I am the XO, Brenda is the Admiral :smt001.

I remember seeing a Sea Ray 330 a couple of slips down from us...so I am guessing that is yours.
Yes, they have done a ton of work over the past year, really makes the marina a lot nicer. I received membership in the Prince William Yacht Club as a benefit of purchasing the boat, so we haven't yet joined the QYC. I would be curious to know if they do get WiFi there and how good/reliable the connection is.
We are looking forward to meeting you.

...and I certainly won't tell you about the Auto Track, Yaw Control and Skyhook .
The day we took delivery of our previous boat, Brenda told the salesman that we wouldn't keep it long. We really wanted a larger boat (40' or so), but my premature retirement dictated how much we could affort:smt013. When we learned that I would be losing my job, we thought we would just keep the AJ290, but after our test drive on the 310 Axius, we made the decision to buy it.

We hope you can get a good deal if you decide "you gotta have it".

How is the visibility through the isenglass?
It is okay...not great. The seating on the 310 is much better than on the Amberjack 290, so we can sit and see out the windshield without any problem. The front isenglass is really easy to take down and put back up, so we just take it down when we are underway.

Rob,
Thanks for the tip.
When we take it down, we place it on the bed in the cabin, where we normally keep the AC running.
