Can anyone tell me how to remove the A/C water strainer. I have looked and looked at mine. Seems the only possible way is to remove the 4 screws "underneath"; 2 of which are pressed up against the gas tank. There must be ab easier way.

It unscrews at the top of the strainer if it is the same as the one on my 260DA which looks like this

Turn the plastic top (which has three tabs on it) and it will come right off. There is a rubber o-ring under the top which should be lubricated with silicone before the top is replaced. Pull the strainer out for cleaning then use a sponge to clean out the container itself.

You don't necessarily have to use the spanner wrench. Mine twists off by hand just fine.

If it is too tight, you can use a screw driver in a pinch. Just lay it flat across the top piece and with it contacting two of those raised plastic tabs gently turn it counterclockwise until it breaks loose.

I believe Matt wants to know how to remove the assembly and not just the cover. My unit is held in with tie straps looped through two U shaped brackets.
