Well, it looks like we are getting close to finishing up the deal on the 460. We agreed on a price and have set a date for the wife and I do jump on a plane the day after Christmas and fly to Miami to meet my broker, the owner, the engine surveyor and a hull surveyor. We have the haul out lined up as well.

If all goes well, I will be meeting with a couple of canvas guys, an engine compartment detail guy and a boat buffer and detailer. I plan on having all the work and service done on the boat while it is in Florida and leaving it there for the rest of the winter. I plan on making the trip from Ft Lauderdale to the Bahamas a couple of times before I ship the boat back to Nashville for the summer.

I hate the idea of owning two boats until I sell the 340 Sundancer. But I am starting to get excited about the bigger 460. The wife thinks that the 460 isn't much of a difference from the 340. I am pretty sure that once she steps on the 460 she will see the night and day difference. She has only seen the pictures of the 460 and has no idea how big this boat is compared to the 340. Women...can't live with them....so pass the beer nuts.

This is why I went for the bridge boat.............just kidding. Congrats and good luck with the process. I'm sure your whole family will love the new floating summer house.

Good luck that is a great boat. Where will you keep it, Priest or Old Hickory?

Steve,

We moved from a 1997 400DA onto a 2002 460DA this year, trust me, you will notice the size difference, we sure did.

Just remember, takes a bit longer to clean as well, a lot more boat to cover.

Congrats... Hope you have less problems than you had on the 340... The good thing is your fuel costs won't be much more than the 340... Diesel is less expensive, and gals/mi is not much different between the boats... Maybe some day, God willing, we will be able to make the same move...

Congradulations on the new boat... Pictures are in order when you get the chance...

Congrats! Great boat. We have a small sea ray flotilla heading to Nashville in June for the chesney/McGraw concert at titans stadium then on to old hickory for a few days. Drop by for a cold beer...

pm me. Would like to hook up. As we have discussed, I design the show and will certainly be there.

Steve. Hope you can find enough water to open her up on our lake! Hope to see you out there in the spring.

Great to hear from you Mike. Well hopefully everything checks out well on the 460. I am ready to dump the 340 if you know anyone looking for a great boat with a full recent survey, new bottom paint and tons of extras.

Steve
