Always great when the hard work pays off!!!! Nice job.

My cable master stopped working. The remote nor the toggle switch doesn’t work. It started but then stopped. Like it was bound up then stopped. Thinking I tripped the breaker for it. Any idea where that would be?

Thanks

The breaker is on the panel on the right side of the lazaret in front of the waste tank.

Have you double checked the micro switches in the cable path? Sounds like the cable may be bound up and it is in protection. Pretty rare to pop a breaker on it.

It was the breaker. Reset it and worked through where it bound up. All is good with that!

Now the front AC is giving Hi Pressure error.... oh the joys. When just running that unit it is pumping water. After several hours (not long enough to get through sleep) it kicks the error. A simple turn off then on gets it several more hours.

Hey guys! Thanks so much for the help with our water quality. The filter and chlorination techniques worked really well. I have a new issue that I hope you can help with.

Last week, we made a few high speed runs to blow out the turbos and the bow sunpad frame flipped up in the wind and landed on the front windshield. Very unlucky, but alas. I have three questions:
1) Who makes the best aftermarket bow sunpad for the 52DB? The one I have is not fixed to the deck, so it is prone to come loose again. Is there a modified OEM version that allows for a tip up back support?

2) Where can I buy a new sunscreen or have mine repaired? The bolts on the sunpad frame tore the screen in a few spots. I’m lucky that the glass did not fracture.

3) Is there a product I can use to repair the fiberglass around the snap bases that tore out? And add new snap bases? Fiberglass repair stuff.

I attached pics below. If you need any additional info, please let me know too.

Thanks!

Tom

Had a great day on the boat!

I changed the sheets in the port side stateroom (wife usually does). Saw the compartment under the bed dor the first time. Found something that fixes one of my main complaints! Installed in about 2 minutes and I’m happy!

Filled up with diesel and got a pump out today. When finished, I fired up the engines and had no data on the smart raft nor the analog gauges. Any idea where to start?

My starboard motor has done that a number of times. If I cycle the ignition the gauges will come back up. Not a long term solution but it works for the time being. I have replaced my ignition switch, and cleaned most of the Smartcraft terminals. Hasn’t 100% fixed the occasional dead starboard gauges. Seems to be less frequent though.

I suspect it is a bad connection somewhere.

Ok we are back at it... after waiting almost two months. Hope to have the starboard strut installed today. Tomorrow the shaft and coupler should go back in...

Recap:
May 10th Replaced both cutlass bearings (original we believe) and realized the Starboard shaft and strut was bent. Port side shaft was sent out and tested true. Reconditioned both props and trimmed 1/2" diameter out of it to further bring down the load. Starboard strut could not be straightened since it was bent and twisted per Millers Island Propeller.
Ordered new strut from Algonac in mid May and received today.

That's a pretty good bend in the strut, you may have said it in a previous post and sorry if I missed it but any idea how it happened?

We have had two soft groundings over the last 3yrs. So not sure if it was one of those or from the previous owner.

Tom - my front unit is doing the same thing. Even if that is the only unit running, water flows through all of them from the pump, so you will see water flowing out the common drains even if the front unit is clogged or partially clogged. I'm going to try the high pressure hose method first, then the barnacle buster circulation second...

I think I have it worked out… After a flushing with a bleach water solution, I let sit for an hour. After turning back on, it pushed out some pure nastiness!

it’s fine now unless I turn the temp way down. Then it will ice but not throw Hi Pressure error.

Tim

All back together, finally. It’s been a long couple of months. Splash tomorrow.

Final alignment next week.

How did you flush it?

TIM Get yourself a can of "Coil Clean" and spray down the coils on the unit May be restricted air flow causing the freeze situation. Available on line and at most RV stores.
