NEED HELP! I can't figure out how to search the forum very well. I know I have seen a thread showing a fridge replacement in the 48. I have 2009 48 Sundancer and need to replace my salon fridge (already did the cockpit). Norcold or Vitrifrigo? Model? Any help is sincerely apprciated.

I believe @ocgrant has done this job. Maybe he will chime in.
 
Start here....scroll forward....you will also find microwave replacement! As the discussion showed, you want the AC/DC model. Back during Covid there were supply chain issues (excuses) and only DC models were available. You would then need to update the power supply.

Vitrifigo with the external power supply.
One of the single best improvements wifey thinks we have done to the boat.
It fit in the cabinet without shaving anything down and the internal space is significantly bigger.

Installed the new fridge and it is AWESOME! Wife absolutely loves it. I seriously wish the old one broke sooner! THanks again for the help!

This is a winter project for me. Different boat, same issue. I can get almost all of the trim off fairly easily and take it home. Can’t figure out how to get the trim above the windows off (44DB).

I was told it could be plastic made to look like wood, but if you remove a piece you can clearly see the wood grain in the end cut. I figure I’ll either chemical strip it or sand it down to the wood then use some quality marine varnish.

I think you will find the trim, cabinets, etc. are covered with a laminate made from plastics. The fogging is a generic issue that many SR boats deal with. No fix - yet.

The cabinets and doors are laminate, but the corner trim (on a 2007 44DB) are wood. If it somehow turns out not to be wood, my plan B is to use a automotive grade wood grain vinyl wrap.
 
This the trim I’m talking about. Might be different on the DA’s. It appears to be real wood. The flat surfaces are laminate or veneer.

yes they are solid wood. The trick is getting them out. They appear to be nailed and glued in place. I have a few doing the same cloudy look to the finish. I think it will require masking and re-finishing in place.
 
Most of them are screwed from the back side. Have to pull the fridge and microwave to get that one. The ones around the TV area are held on with silicone. They pop off pretty easy. The ones around the stateroom closets ha e good access to the screws on the back side. The only one I can’t figure out is above the windows. Might have to do that one in place.

I took the dinghy off (and freedom lift arms) so an a WOT test as well. I forgot and had engine sync on, but no tabs. I did have full fuel, all 400 gal worth!

2680/2680 rpm
27.2/27.5 gph
177/177 engine temp
33.1 mph.

The water was clam (not like glass but no real waves or wind).

This looks to be in line with everyone else, I'm 3rd owner, not sure if props are original and/or if they have had scans done.

Can you post some pics of the dinghy on the freedom lift. How does the boat ride with it on that far back? Any pics of the lift out of the water?
