Under the heading of being lazy, insert my picture here, dos anyone have a list handy of the consumables:

Raycors
Oil Filter: LF 9009
On Engine Fuel Filter
GeneratorRacor
Generator Fuel Filter
Water Pump Impeller (Mains & Generator)

Am I missing anything? I have the Zinc sizes from Sbmar website.

I forgot to make the list when I left the boat last week.

Thanks a bunch,

Lazy Jaybeaux

Here is my consumables list, as well as some other commonly needed facts...

Recently joined and enjoyed reading all your posts. Adding a few things I've done that I didn't see already mentioned in case anyone wants other ideas. TV mounted above the original location, then mounted amps where the TV was, also mounted the Fusion Apollo at the helm rather than hiding such a beautiful and functional unit.

Nice additions, and welcome to CSR Vita. I've seen your boat docked over at Keenan.

Hi, I am trying to figure out what size dinghy and have read other posts. I was also curius what is the heaviest or largest dingy/tender someone has towed? I was thinking without too much weight..but a heavier towable would be more stable??

And I say stable as far as it not turning over while being towed

We tow the dingy all over the Bahamas but always under 15 knots. It gets too unpredictable and wild over 15. Every boat's wake and turbulence is different but the 52DB puts out quite the wake; I have found that towing about 80 feet behind is the best. Always towed with the engine installed and down so the dinghy has a "rudder". Some OB's you can't tow with the foot down so check on that also. Never tow from rings or handles glued to the tube (probably a no brainer) but from a boweye down low. Lastly a RIB will tow differently than an inflatable floor - actually much better.

Out of curiosity... What about a full fiberglass boat such as 13 to17 foot boston whaler?

I was thinking of changing out my cockpit refrigerator with an ice maker to feed a margarita machine. Ice chest is getting old.
Ocgrant,
I saw awhile back you installed an ice maker. What brand and model did you install and are you happy with it?
Any body else have a thought?

I installed the Isotherm 5S21A14A00000 Clear Ice maker. Super nice unit but a more complicated to install as it needs to recirculate water to the water tank. But clear cocktail ice that doesn't ball up to a chunk of ice and frost is pretty nice.

Was down in the engine room this afternoon and saw part of my common drain system separated from the rest. It was bone dry and no sign of any freeze damage etc.
Is it possible the joint just 'let go'?
Can I put it back together with pvc pipe glue like you get at home Depot?

That is interesting. If you clean the inside and outside of each pipe I don’t see why not.
Where is that located and what drains into the pipe from the elbows?

That is located along the starboard side of the ER, tucked up above the fuel tank.

I'll have to see what the source of those 2 lines are. Will report back.

Vesper Cortex is in!

Like most of my projects, I spend a tremendous amount of time studying, planning, and reviewing the plan when compared with the actual install time. New VHF Antenna, new dedicated GPS for Vesper, Cortex Hub, external speaker, and a tethered handset. I was able to also integrate my existing hailer into the system. Since my boat I has Raymarine Electronics, I added the Cortex Hub as a drop or node to the SeaTalkng network which is NMEA 2000 with proprietary connectors. I expanded the SeaTalkng backbone and used the new adapter cable to go from NMEA 2000 to SeaTalkng.

Like many new instruments, the Cortex has its own WiFi network which allows you to connect a phone or tablet with the appropriate app. I discovered that I can actually talk on the hailer using my phone!

The handset is quite intuitive and very easy to manipulate. The speaker is crystal clear. I’m not good at taking pictures during the install, but here are a few of the finished product.

Oh, I now have a fully functional Raymarine VHF 240, with external speaker, for sale. PM me for questions.

Yes I installed the 12 volt vitrifrigro and while I like it because it is 12v so no inverter needed it is a little slow to make ice. For us it is fine as we don’t use a ton but if you are feeding a margarita maker this is not your machine. They make the same machine in 120v but then you hav e to deal with geny or inverter and I didn’t want that.
