Russ,
Although this set-up worked very well the first season, I explored the factory look and contacted the previous owner who just happened to have purchased that cabinet from Sea Ray but never installed it. So, we re-worked the TV location and placed it in that cabinet for a factory look. No improvement over the first try, but I like the cabinetry and it matched the maple finish.

How lucky were you being able to get the late model cabinet that the previous owner had bought and not installed, great deal!!!

Hey guys!
Sorry I have been away all weekend at the Seattle Boat Show-big disappointment!
I upgraded this past Summer, June 2011, from a 330 Sundancer. I had every boating man's dream come true, my fiance' suggested we get a bigger boat and get married on the boat! After travelling to 5 different states and viewing 9 boats we ended up getting our boat out of Sausalito, CA. It is a beautiful '03, Hardtop, Cockpit AC/Heat, Thruster, Custom Camper canvas, and
cockpit sunbrella seating. The boat arrived 3 weeks before the wedding and all went off without a hitch! (except one!
Since the purchase I have done the following changes:
- I have removed the salon TV and have installed a wall about 2.5' back so this area is now all storage.
- I changed out the mid stateroom TV for my girls and put a nice 19" LCD with DVD player. I used the standard pullout tray and
now use the space behind the TV for the 2 briefcases of manuals.
- New Clarion head unit in the cockpit with a wireless remote control from the helm and upgraded arch remote. This new unit allows for the IPOD hookup and so my CDs are going!
-Installed hailer into factory marine radio so I may talk to the kids and my wife on the bow. (inexpensive upgrade-$50) Nice for talking to folks while docking.
- The pump went out in my sump box so I modified the pump bracket and float onto removable starboard panels for easier cleaning.
- After 3 months of using the standard factory cockpit table I upgraded to an oval extendable ceder-like table. This really enhances the dining area in the cockpit!
- This Fall I replaced all my intake water lines as the originals were cracked and ready to burst. When I was replacing these lines I
noticed the starboard water pump was failing. I replaced the pump with the Seaboard marine pump. Nice change! NEW impellers so I am ready to roll!
This Summer I will add a wine glass cabinet in the bulkhead cabinet above the salon couch.
Last year I put about 100 running hours on the beast and have discovered that this is a very forgiving, easy to dock vessel. It was a bit of a change stepping up from the 330. I look forward to many enjoyable years on this vessel.
Thanks Russ for starting this thread! I know that many other who are looking for this boat look forward to this thread growing!
Smooth Waters!
Russ, I couldn't figure this one out, so I had to buy a boat that had them installed already. It's actually very tight to in there, I think I could have only done it if my 7y/o son would help. But, I'm glad I don't have to do it.
I'm sure after enjoying your water toys at the Block he'll be happy to do whatever you ask
Here's one pic I found:

Thanks for the comments about the TV cabinet but be careful what you wish for. My boat is a 2002 model and the cabinet was probably made in 2004, so although the veneer is close it is a bit lighter (partly because the whole cabinet from Sea Ray was wrapped in masking style tape as protection for five years). The valance also had a slightly different profile but it all works. The big issue is that the cabinet houses an obsolete Zenith TV. I had a local cabinet guy alter it to accept a slightly larger Sony widescreen. That worked well but if I had to do it again, I would have just made the cabinet from scratch. Acquiring a good veneer match is the toughest part.
i will try and post some photos when I get a chance.
With regard to the platform, have you checked out Seaweed Marine's product? I had it on the last boat and it worked well.

I was looking in to something similar. Can you post unit models you installed for these two mods?
That's great, glad you found us and joined in.
First is the refrigerator, PO damaged it while defrosting. I plan to replace, any one have any thoughts?
Next is the cockpit ice maker, PO removed it and gave away. He said he never used it. Not sure if I should put in a fridge instead?
She has a bow thruster and the Bose salon stereo but that's about it for options. I LIKE THE BOSE SYSTEM, STOCK CABIN SYSTEM NEEDS TO BE UPGRADED.
I have looked into the platform but at $25k I'm not sure that will ever happen. THAT IS EASY FOR ME TO ANSWER-NO WAY!!!
Sorry to run off about mine, it's an exciting time, please post pics when you can of yours. We would like to see the projects and upgrades not to mention that beautiful boat too!
Hellos all, This will be my 5th season with the boat, still love the boat. Have done some upgrades, installed ranier windows between the hardtop and glass, really a nice product. changed the cockpit ice maker to a fridge, installed cockpit TV, changed all TV's to flat screen, changed the Clarion to a Fusion, new Icom VHF, Changed the overhead cockpit light to 2 switches and installed Blue and whiite LEDs, Switched to GEL Cell Batteries. Russ if you get any feedback on the carpet runners would love to know, lasrt time I priced them with a local canvas guy it was like $800.00. Bob
