The short answer is that you should be able to see the hours on the smartcraft and scroll through the many features there. I can see the hours on my MFD (Garmin display) because I have it connected up to my NMEA2000 network.

Main cabin a/c is located on the little table on the left hand side of the couch. If you pull that table up, it comes right out so you can clean the filter and such.

Thanks! I found and serviced the AC unit (I thought this is where SR put the vacuum - which my boat doesn't have!!!!). Despite following the manual, I still can't figure out how to navigate to engine hours.

You mention you are runnning a bridle to stop the swinging at anchor? Have you got a diagram on how you have this setup? I cannot believe how much our boat swings from side to side in even the slightest breeze.

This is the bridle setup on my boat. It helps but doesn't stop the windvaning. The purpose is to remove the load from the windlass and lower the pull angle on the anchor.

My setup is similar and it doesn’t completely alleviate the swinging. It does, however, settle it down quite a bit.

Do you have an updated MFD (garmin or otherwise?). If so and if it’s connected via NMEA2000 network, you will be able to see engine hours.

Hello I am new to this group but see there is a lot of knowledgable and experienced owners. I have a 2001 460DA. The gas shock on the Captains Chair needs replacement and I have struggled to find an easy solution for this part. Luckily it is is stuck in the upper position so it still works, I just cant use the actuator to drop the seat down. Here are the specifics and pictures of the original part.

If anyone on this forum has experience with finding this part please let me know and I appreciate it.
I know the issue, the struggle has been trying to figure out where I could find this specific gas actuator. Any info or advice is appreciated. Thanks

That is called a Snubber Hook or Anchor Chain Hook. I think it is made by Suncor; I probably got it from Defender.

Original canvas patterns? I was told by Gioia Sails, who made the original canvas for my boat, that Sea Ray puts the patterns back on the boat for future use. Gioia says they are in a long cylinder bag under the bed, by the washing machine or in a closet. Has anyone every found theirs?

Anyone else experience that you have to run full tabs when on plane? Any way to overcome this? More anchor chain? And bags? Bodies up front? LOL

We have 350 for of chain so the bow stays down.

If we trim the bow up while running we actually lose speed. So we run with bow down.

With that much chain, did you gain any speed since the bow is down and the boat is evened out?

Even running full tabs down the bow is still raised very high. I have about 125 foot of chain.

I don’t know on gain. I replaced the first week of owning it.
We cruse at 18 MPH when towing the jet boat or the waverunner on the swim platform.
When not towing we run at 20mph.
This is at around 2200 RPM I think. My tachs run a little higher than actual motor RPM.

Thank you and you’re running very well balanced. My boat has very high bow attitude that maybe I will fix with more chain.

Where did you get the chain from? G4? 5/16?
