I really like my JL and they sound great. Good bass, mid range and highs. Take the time to change out the 6" to the 8x8 you will be happy that you did. We have 6" in the arch, and 6 of the 8x8 at the floor and two 10" subs. Also if you like bass put a bass volume control in. It plugs into your sub amp. This way you can control the bass as it changes by song and you dont have to turn up or down the main volume. I also love that I can control the whole system from my apple watch. That way if you are on the beach, another boat , on the dock or in the water swimming you can keep the volume up or down and skip songs .

I thought about the statement above and decided to add this addition: You might ask why I think these speakers are awesome and here is the reason; I have some hearing loss from being in combat without hearing protection. As compared to the speakers that I replaced, the JL speakers give me hearing clarity with no noted distortion and I can hear all ranges from the high to the low notes. I can crank the volume up and "feel" the music without the speakers creating any unwanted vibration. I am happy to have replaced my old speakers with these and didn't realize how crappy the old speakers had been until the replacement.

That's just like my setup, only I have the sport grilles and LED light rings behind them. I also have a pair of 7.7's in the arch with the separate tweeters...very cool sound. The 2 subs make a huge difference as well!

The only mistake I made is that I didn't put 2 speakers in each step like yours...I only put the one in...silly me!!

Never thought of doubling up on speakers. The boat must rock. What caught my attention (besides the speakers) was the cooler with the cushion on it. The one short coming of my boat is a place for cold drinks in the cockpit. I have a big cooler but it is too big. Yours looks perfect. Could you share brand and size? I would assume the cushion was custom made?

The Cushion I had made at my local Upholstery shop.
When you have them make the cushion make sure they use sliver snaps. we had black as first and it rubs the seats when you open and close.

Thanks for the reply. Greatly appreciate it. Nice job with your boat.

There's also an Igloo Marine Elite cooler sold at West Marine that fits perfectly in that spot. It's a bit cheaper than a Yeti (isn't everything?) and has a seat pad you can also buy. But you've just gotta love these guys' boats. Pics like these are why I don't let the Admiral on CSR.

Timing is everything. Got an email from West Marine that all Yeti items are 20% off and I had a $30 rewards credit so I bought it online. Including Florida Sales Tax, it was under $190.

Table was by Marine Tables Inc., Savannah, GA Anita 912-351-2013
You design it all the way--shape, size, trim or no trim, what is in the center.
Price will be $3,000 or a little more.
The fiberglass table was a lot heavier than it looks. So this new one is not much heavier. Because it is so much larger(the 2000 and later tables are 40% larger than the 1999) it is a little more wobbly. I didn't get the table until the boat was in winter storage, so I don't have any on the water experience. For and AFT seem to be ok.
Port/Stbd--end to end may need a second post. I will have to see.

We have one for them, slightly larger, in the dinette. They do a great job.

Thank you both. Looks like a great product.

It is a little on the high side in cost for flooring.

If your on the coastal areas the install will be much cheaper than what our local guy wanted in Utah.
Good thing is plasdeck has the template for a 460 so there isn’t a set up charge to run it. they can cut it and ship to you or you can find a local dealer to do it all for you.

Regardless if you were to go the route of just buying it from them I would still template your boat as all our boats are a little different.
As for the product. We love it. It is a little hot in July other than that what I liked about it is if it get stained you can sand it as the color and the black joint lines are colored all the way through.
Also as it gets wet it acts like anti-skid.
It really updated the look of the boat too.

we did the swim platform as well.

Was checking the water levels in the batteries the other day and don't ya know one of the caps got away from me. I have searched for a couple of hours over several days and it has magically disappeared. My main batteries are the long, six cell type that take plug type caps that look to be about 1/2" in diameter. I have shopped everywhere that I can think of but cannot seem to find another battery cap. Anyone know where to get one? Or have a spare one they would sell?

You might hit up west marine and see if they have a "core" you could steal one off of. Also look for a battery distributor like interstate and take a ride over there. They have tons of cores every week and I bet you can find one for a few bucks in hand. Golf courses also as they are like golf cart batteries.

So did the impeller change on the port motor and it was a really good reminder that I need to change out to the splined pump. Who ever came up with the design of the key way one has to be severely punished.
I want to starboard one but want to change to the splined pump.

Could someone give me the part number for a cummings and where to order it.

Thanks

This is it. A little pricey but it comes with an impeller installed and a second impeller. My first impeller lasted over 600 hours when I replaced it and still looks new. I kept it as the hot spare.
