I found the control box. Before I open up the box, do you know if the bottom part is a plug type connection I can undo, or is that part actually part of the main box?The monitor display is not where you would look. There is the monitor system control box which in my boat was located next to the main circuit breaker panel in the engine room. This is a picture of it with the connector attached; those violet colored wires are the ignition wires-

It's a plug. If I remember there is a small screw in the middle of the plug; unscrew that and the plug will pull apart.I found the control box. Before I open up the box, do you know if the bottom part is a plug type connection I can undo, or is that part actually part of the main box?
Ok thanks. I was hoping it had a quick release tab but when I was feeling around it could not feel anything. Sounds like I will need to take the cover off the box so I can access screws attaching the whole box to the bulkhead and remove so I can access the screw on the plug. Will try to work on that later this week after company leaves. It's a plug. If I remember there is a small screw in the middle of the plug; unscrew that and the plug will pull apart.
Thanks for the pictures! Will see if I can work an Allen wrench in there without unmounting box from bulkhead. I wanted to basically pull the plug off and re insert in hopes that maybe the connection for starboard engine had just a hint of corrosion or otherwise dirty and would self clean on re insertion and would start monitoring starboard engine again.@boaterholic - It's a hex socket head screw on the connector. You won't find anything inside of the box other than a mess of potting compound; the mounting screws are on the box feet outside.

I see you wires in picture are cut. Did you have to replace your box and plug? If so why?
Very nicely done sir! since my monitor display is otherwise working with everything else hopefully the starboard engine is something simple like your suggestion on if the ignition wire for starboard engine getting power.
