Leave it to SR to pick the only one not readily available at your local hardware store.I want to say the drains I've bought have always worked without a special fitting. Leads me to believe the hose is going to be 3/4". My luck is 50/50 is being prepared with the proper parts in these situations, for the record
For anyone else working on this...1. Junior Bar Drain (Glacier Bay brand) to a 2. 1 1/2" pvc stand pipe to a 3. 1 1/2" 90 degree elbow to a 4. 1 1/2” to 3/4” step down adapter to a 5. 3/4” mpt to 1” barb. The barb is slightly small but the hose clamp makes up for it. No leaks, all happy
Your duckbill valves should all point in the direction of flow (towards the waste tank). If they were inverted, which is very odd, they must have been subjected to some chemical that softened or damaged the rubber. It's just not reasonable that the vacuum that is generated could invert them if in good condition.
Re Pumpout - It would collapse and destroy the holding tank before damaging those duckbill valves. Again, however, the duckbill flow is in the direction of the flow to the tank and obviously direction of the pumpout. Plus you should have a tank saver relief valve on the tank. If you don't then get one installed.
Thanks again for your input. My holding tank drawing indicates relief valve. Will check on next trip to boat. You are right on the flow direction. I wish i had studied the old valves before i took them out. I only have had the boat for a year and i guess previous owner/mechanic could have put them in backwards. Will check what I can and move forward. Thanks again

If you’ve never done it before, search on here about how to do it. The parts are a little delicate and easily broken/cracked. Everything should be only hand tight, no tools required.
Just did this yesterday. "hand tight"-what does this mean? When everything is brand new and sitting on your desk hand tight may be possible but on your stomach stretching over the engine with a pipe wrench that wants 90degrees to engage hand tight to me is of limited value. IN PRACTICE-tighten them to your best guess for just bottoming, err on the less tight side. Assuming that your vacuum tank is "clean" power up master head breaker and pump will run to build vacuum. Check for leaks. tighten as necessary. Flush probably more leaks-tighten as necessary. "rinse and repeat" as req.
