I wired in Fox Marine EFI gateways into my 7.4L EFI engines and can read the fuel usage, the following is my consumption in fair seas and 3/4 tanks of fuel:

Mark,

I know this is an older thread, but I'm "in the same boat". My Uline cock pit ice maker is dead. I've been looking around for a refrigerator replacement that would fit. I found an ac/dc fridge/ice maker combo that's close. Which one did you get?

Good data Brian. I'll make a point to gather the same from my boat. I built a calculating spreadsheet on my iPad for that purpose on a friend's boat. Hopefully I still have it.

Looking at all those numbers reminded me that I have a pic of the Beech House on a beautiful fall day.

I have a cockpit ice maker that is also dead. I'd be interested in hearing what is recommended as a replacement. Thanks, John

an icemaker! I don't understand how people can go boating without one.

Re: 410 Sundancer/Express Cruiser and 400 Sundancer/Express Cruiser **Official Thread

I'd be interested too. My boat has a cockpit fridge that look to be original and I don't think I'd replace it with another one because the galley fridge is plenty big enough for our purposes and bringing bags of ice in coolers is a pain in the butt and those ice cubes aren't ideal after a few hours.

Love the pic! Can't wait for spring! Thanks RollerCoastr

Re: 410 Sundancer/Express Cruiser and 400 Sundancer/Express Cruiser **Official Thread

I'm trying to think of a good solution for replacing the cockpit table with something large enough for at least 4 people to sit around to eat a meal. The table top will be teak and probably come from one of the forum sponsors. I'll need to add another base (for a total of two) to the deck to help support the new bigger table. The existing base and support will remain in their current location to hold up one end of it.
Has anyone else done anything different for a cockpit table? Does anyone know the manufacturer/source for a base (deck end under table parts) and leg to match the stock one?

Re: 410 Sundancer/Express Cruiser and 400 Sundancer/Express Cruiser **Official Thread

John,

We went thru t his a while ago and decided to build the table and base. On my boat a fixed table base would really limit the cockpit use because you have only 2 options ........table up or table stored below. We wanted a moveable base so we could slide the table out to gain easy access to the seating behind it ot to allow it to be used with either the aft bench seat or the rear facing seats behind the helm. I used a Todd or a Garelick polished aluminum mounted to a base made from teak. I routed the teak base bottom and poured the routed out area full of lead to give it the weight and center of gravity to prevent tipping over. All of the hardware.......spider for the top, the adjustable post and the base can be for either a table or chair mount, but if you use a chair mount, you may need to shim the one side of the spider because seat bases are built at a slight angle.

Hope this gives you an option.

I like the table Pics. I purchased a 1996 400 sundance in Nov. and I'm in the process of getting to know / performing deferred maintenance on the boat. I'm missing all tables and the aft bench seat. Any ideas on where to get parts?

I like that idea Frank. Does it stay in place while you are running the boat? How much weight did you put in the base?
I don't need an adjustable height, but that moveable design might work out well if I used the same type support system as the stock table. It would be nice to remove the top and set it up inside the cabin if we want to eat in there or just stow it all somewhere if we wanted it out of the way.

Re: 410 Sundancer/Express Cruiser and 400 Sundancer/Express Cruiser **Official Thread

I made this table and we get 10 people seated comfortably. We use an ice chest with cushion on the side with no seating. Sorry for the sideway pictures. These were also taken before the vinyl was all replaced.

The table stays where you put it and I've never had it move or tip over and we are in 8-10 ft seas several times a year. I don't really know how much the base weighs. I bought 30 lbs of lead and melted it all, but the routed area wouldn't hold all of it so the remainder is in a can in my shop.....i'd guess the remainder is about 10-12 lbs.
