410 Sundancer/Express Cruiser and 400 Sundancer/Express Cruiser **Official Thread**

Re: 410 Sundancer/Express Cruiser and 400 Sundancer/Express Cruiser **Official Thread

Thanks for response. Instead of the hassle and cost of all the labor, I decided to buy a new Cooling Unit since my fridge is in great shape. Now I have to install it, something I have not done before, but it looks pretty straight forward - I hope.

Where did you find a cooling unit for the Norcold? My Norcold no longer works on 12 volt, so I may need one sooner or later. If you are willing to share, what did you pay for the cooling unit?

Marine Specialist in Ronkonkama orderd it, and I bought it indirectly from them via my marina, MarineMax/SS3. I do not know where Marine Specialist sourced it from. If you can find it direct, you would certainly save a a few bucks. When I get the bill I will let you know how much it is.

I originally thought I found a cooling unit online for less than $750, but they were out of them and not getting any others in the foreseeable future,

Check the 12V connections at the refer. My refer in the cockpit had the same issue and I found the wires had come loose. That was 3 years ago and the never cold still works. It is loud and vibrates but still works.

They all sound (and vibrate) the same don't they!

I've replaced the gaskets on both myfreezer and frige, but the clips just don't hold the doors shut tight enough and I get a LOT of freezer frost...

Thanks. I will take a look at them again, but it am pretty sure I checked them when I first bought the boat. I remember checking for power in the line at the power supply on the fridge, so I likely checked the connections as well. Ya never know.

The kick plate under the fridge...its carpeted. Does this get removed to remove the fridge? I was looking for screws but did not see any.

My unit worked fine when I replaced it. Rust on bottom and redid the interior so wanted a new fridge as well. My working Norcold is out and available for parts if you want to PM me to discuss further.

No, it stays in-place. You may have to peel the top edge of the carpet back though.

I recently installed the new cooling unit on my norcold frig. A 2 man job, since the cooling unit is a little awkward to hold while attaching to frig, but a pretty easy install. While I do not want to jinx myself, i will say it anyway, the frig is working like new. If it lasts another 13 years like the original one, I will be a happy man. If anyone wants to tackle this install, let me know and I could give you some pointers, while it is fresh in my mind. Don't wait too long, because my mind does not retain info like it used to.

What was the make and model number of the new cooling unit? Was it dual voltage?

Re: 410 Sundancer/Express Cruiser and 400 Sundancer/Express Cruiser **Official Thread

DE461 and yes it is dual voltage. It does not come with a power supply, so make sure the issue is the cooling unit and not the P/S.

What did it cost to replace the new cooling unit? I will be ready for that or new soon.

Re: 410 Sundancer/Express Cruiser and 400 Sundancer/Express Cruiser **Official Thread

I did it myself. Got one quote for $1,800 installed, which is why I did it myself. The cooling unit cost approx $1,000, hopefully less. Still waiting for final invoice from my marina.

My windlass is not working on my '99 410EC. What should I check and where are the locations of the parts in the system?

Hi

I have a 410 EC from 2000 and need to replace the roller trucs (?) for the foldable sliding door to the mini cabin. Anyone knows where to find these part? I've asked at Searay- Parts / Flounder Pounder Marine, but they're out of stock and can't help me.

Regards Terje

Re: 410 Sundancer/Express Cruiser and 400 Sundancer/Express Cruiser **Official Thread

I have a link to a 3rd party supplier of the tracks and rollers other than FP Marine. Let me get to the office and find it.

Email these folks and see if they can help. I found replacement parts for the cabin door track from them. Not sure about the aft cabin door though.

Here is a diagram of the door if that helps. Take and post photos if you take it apart.
