Someone posted a pic of a wine cooler that they put where the liquor pull out cabinet is. I have looked everywhere and can’t find that pic. Does anyone have to know where it is?
Thanks

You want this model "https://citimarinestore.com/en/ctm-...0-btu-marine-air-conditioner-115v-24101c.html:" and adapter "https://citimarinestore.com/en/part...le-plug-smxirht-a-288c-a-282nc-290340229.html"

that said and all you need, I also upgraded both of my displays with this.

worth every penny!!! PS no affiliation with Citi marine. They just really help out and went above and beyond for me. I had a display fail, and they first me a replacement with a return box and then fixed my original and sent it back which is why I have both as new touch screens. a 2 for one if you will. And I am on year three with them.

enjoy!

Thanks for sharing the links! I need to replace my salon unit and this is perfect. How will I know what "Pin" to select? (The 4 or 8 pin)

Do you have any pictures of the AC display on your boat? What did you use to cover up the open space from the old larger display? Did you buy the Wi-Fi display too? Thanks in advance!

really great info here guys
anyone tried to increase air flow circulation into engine compartment for better performance ?

it feels i can have better performance and engines run with higher rpms when hatch is open

I'm with CaptRonn; never noticed an issue with airflow into the engine compartment.

The engines are spec'ed with WOT at 2700(ish) and cruse at 2200-2300. What is your WOT and your cruise RPM's? What speeds are you running? Are you seeing smoke? You might have an entirely different issue than more airflow into the engine compartment... Airflow into the engines is an entirely different (and more serious) matter.

He had the 7.4 Mercs in his boat not a low revving diesel.

My boat has 8.1's, and I never had the problem he's describing.

Yeah, I have diesels, so I can't comment any further on the behavior of 8.1's, but it's not passing the smell test. Something stinks and it can't be airflow into the engine room... Well, I suppose it could be, if a bird died in each one of his hull vents. But that notwithstanding, there's likely another airflow issue here.

That's a good question, glad you asked. I looked up the unit but not my supplier. it was actually microair.com I ended up getting it from and it is the 6 pin! https://www.microair.net/products/e...ntrol-display-panel-6-pin?variant=29192045643

I did not do wireless because I don't have wifi available on my boat when I am away (On a mooring)
the holes from the old one coved by the install. I'll look for an image... if not I'll get one next time I head there.

I purchased (the unit arrived today) the AC unit and the adapter that you posted, but I did not get the display unit. I plan on using the original display unit that still works. Are you saying I need to purchase this display and a 6 pin adapter? I hope to install it this weekend. Thanks in advance!

Nope you should be good to go! plug and play. If you want the digital display you will need the 6 pin one. That is it Cap! BTW the digital covers the screws perfectly from the old one. I'll try to get down to mine within the next week or so to get you a pict.

Thank you! A picture would be great!

I was interested in the same and chose to install a remote thermometer in the engine room with digital read out at the helm. My engine room with 8.3 cummings runs 90-100 degrees no mater what i do, run the blowers or open the hatch. That's up north with air temps out side of 65-85 F

Hey guys, some time ago there were questions about steps/ladder down into the engine room. i thought i would share what i did. Couple of diamond plates work great. I put one on the plywood top i made to the battery enclosure. it makes a handy shelf for a couple clear tupperware bins where i keep oil/fuel filters and stuff. The black thing is a nonslip pad so my bins don't shift around.

How is the plywood top attached?

I fastened small wood blocks to the under side that ran along the vertical plywood so the top couldn't shift around. Then a made a vertical leg for the back left corner as you view the pic. That way the box is open under there on 2 sides for ventilation. And all you have to do is lift it off for access to batt. & ...
