This will be a winter project for me. For those that did this, did you put a trap inline or loop the hose?
I formed a "trap" with the drain hose. Easy and it works great. I was a little concerned about my neighbors floating condo that is on my starboard side. It rarely moves except to pump out and he starts and runs it for about 15 minutes once / week. It's gas, pre-fuel injection and can get a little stinky/smokey when warming up.
The galley sink going overboard definitely helps with the shower sump box but I still clean it about twice per season. No more cooking grease or food particles, but the showers and head sinks still leave a scum line. Use of Noflex or CP helps.
