$40,000 trailers

There is an article in today's Wall Street Journal about Texas A and M's fishing club. Industry types are trying to promote interest in fishing and are promoting fishing as a college sport. Mention was made about how expensive it is to fish. "A good bass boat costs $40,000 and a good trailer costs $40,000". Is this true? How could bass boat trailers be that expensive? Are they different from other boat trailers in some way?

NO WAY would a trailer for a bass boat cost 40K, more like $2500.

I don't even think a trailer for a cigarette type boat would cost 40K...

Probably added one extra zero. $4K is about right for a tricked out little trailer.
