I have a 1991 390EC and water runs down the head aft bulkhead when it rains. We have pulled the port window twice and resealed it. Still leaking down that bulkhead wall. Taped plastic over the entire window. Still water down bulkhead in head. Where else could the water be coming from? Stantions? Hatch? Any insite would be of help

Same Problem on my 39

I've got the same problem on my 39EC. It only started this season. I've also done all the things yu've done. Still haven't found the source of the leak. I'm goingto take out the panels in the head this comeing weekend and try to find it. I've also sealed all my deck fittings and rail ends. Let me know how you do . I'll keep you informed of my progess.

One Item I''ve had good success with, is Captain Tolleys Creeping Crack Cure. It's more of a liquid applacation. It really gets into tight areas. Check it out at West Marina. Good Luck

Let me know what you find after you take out the panels. I've taped up all the stansions, the winshield to deck area and the head hatch. So now I wait for a good down pour. I'm on Middle River on the Western shore of the Chesapeake and can also be reached at davef@arssupply.com We cruise up the Chester 3 or 4 times a year. I'll look for Captain Tolleys Creeping Crack Cure at West Marine and give it a try....Thanx

On the 390EC there is a good bit of elevation between the headliner and the deck so water can (and usually does!) run a good distance. In your case, I'd bet the leak is in the windshield mounting screws on the forward port corner of the windshield. Try removing the black screw cover on the bottom......its dry and will likely break up, so get some from Taylor before you begin........then remove one screw at a time and fill the screw hole with silicone and reinsert the screw. Don't do but one at a time and don't disturb the windshield bedding so=ince the screw holes are the only place water can get in. The lower channel acts like a funnel and directs the water to any screw hole that is leaking.

Hope that helps............

Guys I moved this from the Cruiser section to the Yacht section to help out with the search feature in the future.
