380 Sundancer Cup Holders...there aren't any

Another alternative to drilling holes for cupholders is to use the other ones that sit on top of a flat surface that Sea Ray uses on other models. I have three sets of these installed on mine. There are just three small stainless screw required to mount them.

I like the table, is that a custom table, or the one at comes with the 410?

The one that came with my 380 is long, and it's hard to get around. It fits in a slot under the engine compartment, but we leave it up most of the time.

I haven't done anything about adding cup holders, this boat does move much when anchored or at a dock so hasn't been a issue.

It's snowing here at the moment, I'm counting the days before we uncover, and start getting it ready for the spring.

dc380....I got the table on ebay...see my post above to Jeff. We didn't like the large table that came with the 410 for the same reasons you don't like the 380's table.

Eric:
I used my DeWalt 24 volt cordless drill with a Blumol 3.75" hole saw bit.

i found a whole bunch of 3 1/2" cupholders on ebay, but no 3 3/4". one is up for $8 and is called "double stage" (?) i could really use two of these babies on the bridge, as there are NONE at this point.

there are also several auctions offering a set of 10 3.5" ss cupholders for "poker table or boat." i'd gather these are NOT the ones you bought (the buy it now on this set is around $20).

Ron:

The cupholders below are similar, but not from the same buyer I bought from....I bought mine 3 years ago...I don't remember all the details...

If you read the description, it says that they fit in a 3.7" to 4" hole. I used a 3.75" hole saw. Your welcome to borrow the hole saw....I live about 1/2 south by car from where you keep your boat....OR....you could just wait till your in the water and tie up at my dock and install them while your kids go for a swim....

Hey....wait a minute....I just remembered something.... the last time a dentist had a drill in his hand, I was on the wrong side of "pain"....I tell you what.....you bring your own little whiney drill.....bbbzzzzzzz.....and I'll keep the 24volt DeWalt.....

my cupholders just arrived and boy are they SWEET!

380DA owners...while you got the drill out, you may also want to consider adding a few SS handrails on the transom to assist getting on/off from the swimplatform. The 380DA has a rather high step from the swimplatform to the transom doorway/cockpit level. The admiral always had a hard time. I considered a fiberglass step, but decided to try the grab rails first. The grabrails did the job fine.

In the picture below you should be able to see where I added two grabrails (one on the side and one on top) in that area. I have to admit, I found myself grabbing the rails also....but don't tell the admiral...I always tried to tell her we didn't need them....

dom- where's that pic taken? nice power cables!

Nice picture Dom and pretty good idea on solving the issue.

Rondds,
Those SS cupholders are on my to-do list as well for next season. But, this is a "nice to have" item, so it'll be some time before I get to it. Let me know how you work things out with your installation.

Alex.
