Wow... I had to do some work today to make some money (I need to get an operation) and look what I missed!

Are we ready to close this one down now that we have hit the 100 post mark or is it not old yet?
Let it run its course, this is fun. If they only made a deisel outboard for your dingies, you guys would be like a bunch of pigs in s**t  Jim should charge admission for this kind of entertainment:lol: SB

Diesel powered RIB's actually do exist. Though one would have to be on the highest side of the SeaRay line to accomodate one...even then I'm not sure.
In any case...whoever can claim one of those on the back of their boat must surely have stepped on hundreds of lesser fortunate to have one.
Then there is this creation - a 27HP Yanmar Diesel outboard. Weighing in at 187lbs is not too bad - about the weight of a present day Mercury 4 stroke. Apparently there was not enough demand though...they no longer are in production.
So - the bragging rights are out there for the taking.....
What is this board coming to when the moderator starts quoting David Pascoe?
Thank you for the back up Wesley.
Not really what I was doing but your welcome.
Frank- you didn't miss a thing except learning to avoid BIH this summer! For some reason, I don't think either of us would fit in with the crowd that seems headed that way.
Anyway, I've been un-invited because I own a boat with diesel engines that I bought with money I eraned while climbing all over the little guy.
I sure am ready for spring to come so we can get back to fixing boats...............
