38 DA Gas or Diesel

Wow... I had to do some work today to make some money (I need to get an operation) and look what I missed!
 
Are we ready to close this one down now that we have hit the 100 post mark or is it not old yet?

I just want pics of sourcecode at the BIH.
 
A few snapshots would be nice, but transcripts or a recording of the conversation would be priceless.

Diesel powered RIB's actually do exist. Though one would have to be on the highest side of the SeaRay line to accomodate one...even then I'm not sure.

In any case...whoever can claim one of those on the back of their boat must surely have stepped on hundreds of lesser fortunate to have one.

Then there is this creation - a 27HP Yanmar Diesel outboard. Weighing in at 187lbs is not too bad - about the weight of a present day Mercury 4 stroke. Apparently there was not enough demand though...they no longer are in production.

So - the bragging rights are out there for the taking.....

I think that's the official prize. After you make 1000 low income families homeless you get a free diesel outboard.

In my experience, Pascoe is dead on technically. The only thing he doesn't take into account is resale of the boat which brings it back to where you boat and how you use your boat.

Sorry about that Gary, a poster before suggested my job was to make the board active not to close threads that had run there course, I figured what better way to get the posting active than to quote a idiot like Pascoe. It would have worked too it were not for that guy, his four suns, and that pesky dog.

Might still go to BIH, Frank. I'll have to ask the forbearance of the elite diesel snobs since I'll be showing up with a ... shudder.. gas boat. But, on the other hand, I'll be bringing a new tool... Makeup remover in an industrial sprayer. If we use Gary's air compressor to pressurize the tank, that baby can probably shoot over 100 feet. Probably work better than hanging garlic around the docks to ward off evil.

I'd image a few of the people at Club Sea Ray we're the mark of several bullies back in the day, little did they know at the time all of the bullies would end up a member of Club Bayliner...:grin:
