Damn. There's a guy at my work who just had a knee replacement. He recovered faster than I did with my meniscal repair.

Lucky, I just have to live with the cards Ive been dealt in life. I know my wife wants me to sell our boat because she claims there is not enough room for her but I know for a fact that she feels sorry for me not able to get down from the flybridge in enough time to dock the boat properly. She may be right but gotta say this is one fantastic boat !! My wife can grap a dock line and hook us up to a side-tie for a dinner cruise but shes not strong enough to pull a whisker at the moorings at the Island. She has her eye on a larger express cruiser ( Sea Ray) which would make it easier for me to get around on. Tough decision.

Hi,
I have just purchased the same boat a 36' vangard sport fisher 81' searay. I was wondering, what kind of fuel mileage are you getting ? Mine has the cat's 3208 turbo diesel, with the 400 gal. capacity. Also what kind of cruising speed does your move at ? I am restoring this one on the inside, and would love to get some pointers from you if you dont mind ? Do you have any inside shots of your boat ?

Thanks

Tom

Wow, glad to see there is another 36' sport fisher out there. As for the mileage I get with my boat depends on the seas. At 2400 rpm I burn about 9-10 gph at approx. cruising speed of 15-16 knots with calm to mild seas. In the roughest following seas I believe I was burning a bit more fuel at the same rpm but the speed drastically reduced down to 8-9 knots.

I do have some pictures of the interior of my boat and can get them posted as soon as I get to my laptop down at the boat. Would like to see your boat as well.

Thanks Rob, I will get some up soon, by the weekend. So i guess im looking at 1.5-2mpg roughly in good water, does that sound about right ? I hope so, i hope i can go the distance on the boat with a 400 gal. tank. I am very excited about getting started on this project. Any interior photos would be great, so i can get a good idea on how to lay this boat out, with a newer stlye interior.

Thanks
