I am looking for a comparison in deck sizes versus the boat I am looking at...a 1995 330 express.

Can one or more of you 340 owners let me know what size deck you have on your boat....and what year and model boat?

Thank You,

a little smaller than a porn stars.... ooooooh you said DECK size :smt043

If I'm not mistaken the deck is where the helm is at and seating for guests.....so how far from the dashboard to the aft end?
Thanks

Our dock "D-Dock" configuration is 35' x 35' and accommodates 2 beamy boats such as ours @ 13' 11" quite nicely. Besides allowing space between the boats, don't forget to factor in some extra space for fenders.

OK. Got it. IF the 95 340 is like the 98 330, the answer is "I don't know." I haven't been on my boat in some time. A lot depends on what you consider comfortable. 2 at the helm but you are going to get a stiff neck turning around. One in the pax seat. Ditto the neck. A comfortable 4 at the cockpit table.

Regardless of what the brochures say, the comfort level is up to you. I find 6 to be the max comfort fit in my boat although I have had as many as 12 in there at times.

As for the actual space, I would say 12x7 as a SWAG.

"Ron", Yes, the 1995 330EC IS like the 330DA - similar dimensions, but different layout of the cabin and cockpit due to the straight-shaft configuration.

After that, the 330EC became a WIDE beam boat, so the '97 330EC doesn't resemble the 330 Sundancer or the earlier 330EC.

The wide expresses are interesting boats - the cockpit has TONS of open space, but they don't really "seat" more people than a comparable Sundancer unless you add folding chairs etc.

Here is another approach:

Go to searay.com, look under owner's resources, then select archives, look for spec sheet. The spec sheets usually have a somewhat to scale 2 dimensional drawing of the cockpit and cabin layouts. There may be more than one spec sheet listed so click around until you find the one with the drawings. You may also see a brochure listed in the archives. They usually have some decent photographs of the various models as well.

Good idea. The spec sheets have some errors in them, so they can't always be taken as gospel, but they're WAY more accurate than lazy broker listings (who often appear to just make up specs, or refer to a Sundancer as an Express Cruiser instead of the more generic "express").
