Hi Partyoffive
I didn't see the manifolds when they were removed, as the boat is not local, and I didn't ask - probably should have. They didn't mention their condition either.
All is well "down under" except our exchange rate which makes buying boat parts from the US all the more expensive. I was almost going to import the manifolds from the US but they ended up being cheaper through the local Mercruiser agent/tech when all the costs were added in. Not having to replace the elbows also resulted in savings as I thought I was going to have to replace these too. They charged me A$591.44 plus GST (10%) for each manifold back in June.
Whilst the manifolds were off I also had the plugs (NGK TR55IX) changed so that's one less hassle in the future.
