While I am tearing into the bridge control console the admiral is getting the interior ship shape. I had finished the water system and the galley so now it is her turn. She has been busy sanding and finishing the teak. She likes the "glossy" look. We will have to replace the mirrors on the wardrobe as they are in bad shape.
When we bought the boat, all the hatches leaked badly and the "monkey carpet" headline was molded and nasty. We removed all of that from the the v-berth and along the sides in the cabin. The admiral ordered some foam backed headliner to replace the carpet. Waiting for that in the mail.
I also had to replace the bulkhead between the rode locker and the v-berth. I chose 3/4 inch starboard. We decided that because we are going to use this boat in Alaska and 600' of rode will not fit in the locker, I did not cut the original access hole to the locker from the v-berth.
Here are a few pics to get started.
