290 amberjack hardtop build

after having so many soft top, finally started my hardtop build.

Background:
been in automotive business with tools but absolutely NO fiberglassing and gelcoating experience.

I have a 2002 290 searay amberjack with factory tower, 10.5 wide
plan:
hardtop with shape not just a flat board on top.
measures about 110 inch long and 105 inch wide,
steps
getting shape measurement.
get rack setup on a 8 ft truck bed that we are rebuilding the motor.

only change is I am not planning on put 1/2 balsa inside to cut the weight down and I am not planning on walking on the top. maybe put some foam. correct me if I am wrong

how's it coming along? we just built our own hard top as well. similar to you with no fiberglass experience but we are very pleased with the turnout

Would love to see some updated pics of the hardtop. I have a 2004 AJ 290, and I really would like to have a custom hardtop. I was curious if anyone had placed vertical supports to the deck in front of the windshield, and if so, where did you thru bolt them? Thanks for any input.
