Hello all. 1997 Sundancer 270 with Yanmar diesel and diesel Westerbeke 5kw gen.
Welcome! Awesome to see a diesel 270! Very rare in our market... almost unicorn rare!
That is a very rare combination, having a diesel in a 270. Was that boat built for sale in the US or for Europe?
I'd like to see more pics of the boat, especially the engine compartment.
Thanks! We bought the boat last summer with 60hrs on the engine. I was told by the broker that the original engine was gas and the owner had the diesel swap done in 98. As far as I know, it's always been in the US. I've got it on a lake in Texas where I bought it. Not sure if it's ever seen saltwater. Ill get some more pics on here soon.
Can anyone explain to me the difference in the 270DA and 270SE?
Not sure I've ever seen a 270SE
DA is the abbreviation for Sundancer
I did some looking on the forum and there are some threads that cover it.. Doesn't look like they made SE during my model year.
Here are a few pics from the other day.
The SE stood for Sport Edition I believe
It was the same boat but with fewer standard features. For example the SE had a porta potty with a pump out instead of a vacu flush toilet, no windlass....
