If you know a play action pass is coming the defense doesn't bite. If you know a jet sweep is going to the right you can stack that side of the line.
On the other side of the ball if you know the defense is going bring edge pressure you can run the play to the other side. Etc.
Now the team still has to have the players make the plays, but if they know where the play is going, they have an edge.
The biggest reason you know Michigan was getting a decided advantage from the sign stealing is because they kept doing it. For three years.

So I just got a notification that Saban is going to retire. Guessin all this portal, nil crap finally got to him.
