2023 College football thread.....

Tough day for KU, Texas is really good, and not having starting QB hurt, but wouldn’t have made a difference IMO

Notre Dame pulled one out at the end against Duke.

We are in Colorado for a long weekend, found a KU watch party at a little pub in the springs to watch KU dispatch UCF. And that was without our starting quarterback, we got there just in time to see the end of th OU-Texas game, pretty crazy.

Another college football Saturday.. The big rivalry game in Michigan. Really not much excitement. MSU is pretty much a dumpster fire and Harbaugh caught cheating again. It'll be Ohio/Penn early, Alabama/Tennessee and probably watch the Xfinity Homestead race tonight and just check the MSU and FSU scores. I'll put on the games if either looks good midway.

I'm taking the under in the Minnesota/Iowa game. Still can't believe Iowa won last week without running a single offensive play in Wisconsin's territory.

Oklahoma squeezed by Central Florida 31-29, gives me hope for next weeks OU - Kansas game. Wish OU would have rolled tho

Big shout out to my LSU Tigers as they played host to the Cadets from West Point. Army parachutists drops into the stadium pregame, end zones are painted in cammo, and Mike the Tiger (mascot) wore a cammo uniform. Classy! The game was a bit of a runaway but I hope the Tigers got some things sorted as they prep for Bama in two weeks.

Here’s an interesting thought: if LSU beats Bama, Ole Miss wins out, and Bama wins out after losing to LSU, those three teams will all have 1 loss in the SEC West.

LSU lost to Ole Miss
Ole Miss lost to Alabama
Alabama lost to LSU (TBD)

Who plays Georgia? Perhaps not LSU as they have a non-conference loss to FSU.

We might have the same one-loss issue between Ohio State, Michigan, and Penn State. Not sure of the tiebreakers in the SEC, but in the B1G it is the best win over the other divisions highest ranked team. Penn State beat Iowa and had the advantage, but if Iowa collapses, Ohio State's presumed win over Wisconsin this Saturday puts them in the drivers seat.

While I'll admit it is VERY unlikely but....if Mizzou figures out a way to beat Georgia a week from Saturday, one of those teams with be playing Mizzou instead of Georgia. That come from ahead loss to LSU hurt though.

Mizzou will upset Georgia. Mizzou has a bye this week while Georgia has Florida. With Brock Bowers done, Georgia has a difficult schedule ahead.

Anyone see that 'Fair Catch' call in the Iowa / Minnesota game?
I think Iowa got 'jobbed' - Just one opinion...
