2015 Ram 1500 vs Ford F150 - Both Crew Cab 4X4 short bed

Todd get the 1500 laramie and buy a used quad with a plow. I'd never want to be retricted to commercial plates on long island. I HATE the LIE

I hear you Joe but my driveway has 4 1/2' of snow at the bottom that I don't think a quad would budge. I'm not a fan of the commercial designation but, I think if I add a cap I can convert the registration to personal. Not 100% sure though. Plus, I really wanted the Megacab & that's not available on the 1500.

I have always been a Ford guy with multiple explorers, navigators, mustang Cobras etc and 2 years ago traded my 2005 Explorer EB for a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee that was loaded. I was in love with it for about a month and then I realized I really only liked the features it had but hated the way it drove, much more like a car than an suv.

This September I was finally focused on getting back into a Ford truck, started looking at used 2012-2014 Lariats and soon realized I could lease a 2015 for less than buying a used one that would soon be out of warranty. I ended up with an Oxford White 2015 Lariat that has every option besides the twin panel moon roof and the 360 degree park assist. The dealer had to do some trading but finally found exactly what I wanted. I'm sold and will never go back to the dark side.

I'm still driving my '11 F150 Limited with the 6.2L engine with 89K miles that I bought new. It's my 4th F150 in a row but by far my favorite one. I LOVE the 6.2L NA gas engine. Gas-sucking pig but I don't care. I've never driven any vehicle as long as this one and would typically have traded it at around the 70-80K mark. I now have a big decision to make before it hits 100K. If I keep it past 100K I better keep it for a while or the depreciation hit won't make keeping worth while.

I like the new F150's ok but they have really laddered up in price and I'd lose the 6.2L. The new F250 looks interesting, and it'll have the 6.2, but I don't think it'll be out in time for me to trade and Ford won't be dealing on them until 6 months to a year after their release. I also really like the new Raptor, but again, no 6.2. But again may be awhile before they're available.

oh, what ta do, what to da?.......
