2012 Sea Ray Rendezvous - Liberty Landing Marina - Jersey City, NJ - Hudson River

I moved the wedding... We'll be there.

I also got tickets to see "The Book of Mormon" on Broadway (creators of South Park) for Saturday night. Hoping this will prepare me for the Romney presidency.

We should also note that LL will also make a Dunkin donuts run for us every morning. Yes we have to pay for the actual donuts and coffee, but they will place the order and pick it up and deliver it for us. Coffee and donuts will be available on Gary's boat sat morning at 8am for free though. So take advantage of that.

I have to meet this guy... paying for all this stuff... what a nice guy.

So give me an idea what there is to do here for '30 somethings'? On the NJ side? On the NY side?

When I visit NYC, I'm typically closer towards Central Park, so I'm not too familiar with this area.

Give me the low down.

Someone give Doug a tutorial on what there is to do in the "City that never sleeps." My ministers of tourism and travel - where are you guys?

I here it's boring for people in your age group.

I have to defer to Turtle. He lives there.

But, I am sure you can find some sort of entertainment given that the City is just across the River.

I've done all the tourist stuff (statue of liberty, ellis island, etc).

So what do people do in your age group Gary?

Doug

I don't know about 30-something... I was drunk back then.

But for 40-something... I've done various broadway things (Wicked, Jersey Boys, and The Book of Mormon this year), went backstage and watched a filming of David Lettermen (thanks Dom), Time Square (touristy), got great food at weird back street restaurants, comedy clubs, got scared at Coney Island, toured some big aircraft carrier with planes on it (sat in the Concord).... Went over to Rockefeller Center... Ate a really really big steak in Hoboken.... Went antique shopping... would like to do some jazz clubs....

And I've sat in the park at Liberty Landing with my dogs and enjoyed the views and realized what a great country we live in...

Other than that, it's boring.

Yeah I've done most of the things that you named. I got the full tour on the USS Intrepid when I went up there with the Navy League and Cadets. That was a good time. We enjoy comedy clubs. That's a good suggestion. I like Jazz too. I played/play the trumpet and competed at Jazz festivals.

Maybe we can hang out and do something?

Doug

if you're 30 something and can't find something to do in NYC, you're in a coma. Wicked??? what is this, grandma day on CSR?

Hey... I told you I'm in the 40 something crowd. Actually, I'll be in the 50-something crowd when we get together.

Seriously, I already have tickets to "The Book of Mormon" for Sat. night... If other people want to go and plan a dinner or something beforehand and go to the play, that would be fine.... But I emptied out my kid's college fund for 5 tickets at 8pm....

I know we can get into $hit in NYC, that's not the problem. Like I mentioned earlier, I'm just not familiar with this area.

Enlighten me oh wise ones.

Doug

All you have to ask is "what would you like to do" and i guarantee it is here. Your imagination is the only thing holding you back.
