Well spring is showing signs of finally coming for us northerners. Were supposed to have 50 degree weather this week.

What is your planned splash date? I'm hoping to get it out and on the lift by March 30 this year.

Our in water delivery is scheduled for April 7th. We have been boat less since the end of August when our 260DA was sold. So it's been a long wait. You will have a whole week jump start on us

Mine was splashed last July and stays this way year round

We keep our's in the water year-round. But since the lake has about 2 feet of ice, and the high today is 9, I think were a few months away :smt001

April 15, We send a check of to the Government and check to the marina. Then they drop us in! We have to be careful the gas docks here in Wisconsin dont open until May 1st.

Guess it was Jan 1, 2007, since I leave it in and try to take her out on the local lake as chance I can. 1st Major trip this year is going to be the Charleston run come April 20th.

My big fiberglass mistress is in the water, flanked by bubblers, so the only splash will be me if I fall in the drink helping the shrink wrap guy remove the wrap on MARCH 10th. I will spend that weekend buffing, polishing, waxing the hullsides and arch. A buddy and I did from therub rail up the morning before the shrink wrap guy arrived.

The extraordinarily knowledgeable kid from Cummins arrives March 14th to do some three year/300 hour/600 hour tweaks to the Cathedrals of torque.

My wife is on business travel for those two weeks, so instead of BURNING DIESEL on March 17th, the boys and I are going to meet Mom on her business trip a few hours away; thereby inhibiting serious boating.

This means that 24 March I am going to light the fires and head up to DC to inspect the Cherry Blossom blooming progress. Or maybe head south to overnight on the lower Potomac.

Decisions, decisions.

I have been in a couple of times already in 2007.

Already in for a day off from work on 30 March.. ...the sniffles you know......

April 7 for the "Chrissie B". Bay should be thawed by then. Looking forward to nice warm 2007 boating season...and a new marina owner too. Marina sold after 76 years in one family.

Scheduled "delivery" date is March 15th (23 short days! I'll believe it when I see it). We'll take delivery at Shady Side, MD. Hoping to move the boat on the 16th to Inner Harbor East for a couple of months before moving to our permanent home at The Sailing Emporium in Rock Hall.

Sometime at the end of March!! We'll be watching the temps and once it looks safe Mississippi River here we come!! Hopefully the Marina will have the new docks in the water by then, old ones were damaged in the ice storm back in December which sunk my first boat (not a Sea Ray). I'm ready!!
