2007 Splash Date?

I'm fortunate that it's warm enough in Charleston that the dry stack where I keep my boat never gets below freezing, so I don't have to winterize. I try not to let the boat sit for more than a three or four weeks, and pretty much use the boat year around.

Splash Date for our new 205 Sport was 3/3/07 in Lake Washington.

The Missus and I grew up with boats, this is the first boat of our own. Took me a bit to figure out the cold start procedure, may have flooded it or the carb bowl may have just been empty. We'll see how we do on future adventures.

Welcome to the board 007 Sport. You are certainly braver than many on the board. I see you are bundled up for the chilly weather.

Great looking boat 007, we splashed on the same date. We have found that when you start for the first time after the boat has been sitting just put in neutral and go to full throttle and bring it back to neutral. If it does not fire up, do it again; never takes more than doing it twice to crank right up. After you start it for the first time it will not do it again the whole weekend, just starts right up. Again welcome to CSR and congratulations on the great looking boat.

Thanks for the compliments and starting tips. It's been awhile since I've had anything with a carb on it, except for a lawn mower.

Actually that wasn't me in the picture, it was Carl. He works at the marina. Helped us back the 8'6" wide trailer down the 9'0" wide ramp.

It's in their drystack racks now, so I'll only have to do that when I pull the boat to clean it.

I was going to comment on how close the boat was to the wall. Carl stood on the boat and wall at the same time.

Congrats on the new boat and I'm a little jealous since I haven't seen my boat sincce Novemeber.

Thanks beerman. April 17th will be here in no time.

We have 64 degrees here in Seattle today. Too bad I have a job, or I'd be ticking off some of those break-in hours.

Actually if I didn't have a job, I wouldn't have the boat...hmmm.

And here's another pic, just to keep you all entertained.

I went down for a looky at our marina on the Detroit river last Sunday. Still solid with ice but weather is supposed to be in the 50's next week so hopefully it'll break up fast.

bouttime will be ready for 1st week of April.

I have been ready since haul out.
