Ok need some help here. 2006 290 slx with twin 350 mags. Little back story port engine starter goes out. So I became a contortionist and managed to replace it. Once back in the water everything was good until 5 minutes later the raw water line blew off (hose clamp by the starter failed). Engine got warm but not extremely warm and off course we ended up with about 10 inches of water in the engine compartment (now have new bilge pump’s installed). A couple days went by before I could take the time to get the hose reinstalled. During that time the shore power had failed and the fridge drained the batteries completely (they were only 2 weeks old). So I get the hose repaired and the batteries charged up. Both engines start up great. Let it warm up and start idling out to open water. Once out I bumped it up to 1500 rpm. Ran great and no leaks. Then 2000 rpm same deal then a few moments later the Alarm sounds all gauges start to fail and port motor loses power so we shut down. Ok odd. No visual issues so start the engine back up no issues. Get it under load same deal. Again they fire right back up. Idle back in no problem. I had to go take of some family stuff so boat sits another day. Engines fire right up and idle out no issues. Start to power up and boom again gauges die on both sides and alarm sounds and port engine loses power then dies. Again fire right up. Now I hammer the throttles she roars to life but alarm sounds gauges die and port engine loses power but bounces back and does not die like at lower rpm. Did that a few times same result. Now on the way back in the same situation of stalling happpens multiple times while idling in and seemed to pick up in frequency. Only happens in gear. Just idling and sitting there is no issue. Video available Thoughts?? Thanks all
