2006 260 with water leak

The thought had crossed my mind, but they didn't have the color "Chesapeake Bay Runoff" in the dye section.

Isn't that the same thing as coffee. Just pour a pot of fresh brew on her.

Crud! Didn't think of that and I was drinking a cup of joe at the time.

Where were you when I needed ya?

skibum,

What did you use to get the "coffee" stain out? I have tried the old vinegar and water solution but no success. Thanks in advance!

It is a cleaner called "Purple Power" available at auto parts stores. I got mine at Advance Auto Parts. I think Autozone also carries it. Car detailers use it for everything. It comes in a gallon jug and you mix it with water. I used about a 50/50 mix in a spray bottle. I soaked the carpet, then took a stiff brush and worked it in. After scrubbing a bit, I took some white terry cloth towels and soaked up as much of it as I could. The cleaner just suspends the dirt, it is the towels that actually remove the dirt. I just kept rubbing in small circles and crisscross patterns until it was mostly dry. Good thing that section is only 2'x3' or so. No way I would do it on a much larger area. At any rate, it took 2 sessions and about 10 clean towels to get it looking good. It looked great but wasn't completely dry when I left the boat, so I won't know for sure how it turned out until sometime tonight or tomorrow.

I like the Purple Power, but I would imagine that any carpet cleaner like Resolve would have worked also.
