I have looked everywhere but cannot find this measurement to set up the winch post on my Trailer. Sea Ray doesn't show it in my manual.

- Can someone please tell me what the BOW EYE to TRANSOM measurement is on the old 240SD (2002 - 2007)?

- If someone also can tell me the bunk spacing (How far they are apart) that would be fantastic! I had a note that it should be 40 1/4 inch between the bunks but that sounds narrow to me.

Thank you very much everyone!!:smt038

I'm not sure on the length but bunk spacing should be the same as the stringers inside the boat. 40 inches sounds about right but don't hold me to that.
If your trailer bunks are directly below your stringers you'll get the best support and have the least chance of doing any damage to your hull. I also made the bunks stick past the transom about an inch or so. That way the transom is also on the bunks.
If you do have the bunks stick past the transom just make sure the don't interfere with the trim tabs. (They won't if they're under the stringers)

If you contact sea ray they can send you the hull drawings. Also, my trailer builder in Miami would have it and if you ask real nice they would probably send it to you. Google Real X trailers in Miami. They are real nice people.

Did it myself measured bow eye to transom, guessed the height of the bow roller and left the bunks as they were form the factory. then went to get her. Had a local marina load it for me and the boat fit and set PERFECT including weight distribution the way I set the trailer by my measurements, guessing and one picture of a 240SD on my trailer I found on the internet. Done ... by the way .. the Venture trailer is great!!! I pulled her home ... about 150 miles and it pulls really easy and straight with my Ecoboost.

Good job Alex. my trailer is a 4 winns trailer and it's rated for 8k pounds so it tows great also.
Sorry I couldn't get you any measurements. I can just about see my trailer through the snow now.

Ohh my night swimmer .. this was not a winter for the faint hearted ... not even here in NC. We had 0F for a couple of nights.

My Venture is rated for 6000 lbs, but with all stuff and gas I am still under 5500 lbs. load. With target bunks, LED lights and guide poles i paid $3200 delivered to my house.

Hi Alex. Could you provide the measurements? I am trying to find a trailer for a 2007 240 that I am looking at buying. I downloaded the Owners manual but it doesn't show how far the bow eye is from the transom.
Thanks, Alex G
