I have a 2000 sundeck 210 that until yesterday ran like a top. Took it out for the first time of the season yesterday and cruised around a bit and came to a stop to check for any leaking on the engine bay since I changed out my drain plugs this past winter. Seconds after I opened the hatch while the engine was idling the engine just died. I tried turning over engine a few times immediately with no success. After sending out a few SOS texts I tried to start her up and she started right up. She ran great all the way back to the inlet (20 minutes at about 3000 rpm) until I put her in neutral to wait for some kayaks to go by. Then it died again. After that she started one more time but died once more (almost to slip ) wont start at all. There is plenty of gas in the tank and the warning beep comes on when you turn the key. My first thought is the fuel pump but really would like some direction on what to try before I go tearing into that. Any help is appreciated.
