2000 340DA Gen model?

Need to help a buddy find a part for his gen. can someone tell me what the model is? he said he thought it was a 4.5kw BCG but wasn't sure. thanks

If it's red, more than likely a Westerbeke. If white, Kohler.

Depending on what you need, you can find the parts MUCH cheaper online. W'beke 4.5 runs a 3 cylinder Japanese Truck engine. Mine is a Mistubishi. I believe they also ran Daihatsu's.

Yes you correct it is 4.5 BCGB... I replace mine with 2010 5.0 KW, the 4.5 is no longer made...

ok, BCGB vs. BCG....perfect...as they have different fuel shut off solenoids which is his problem (this time). I'm very happy to hear they don't make the 4.5 any longer. next week it will be something different.
