2 problems found on my new boat

Also, you should never, NEVER, use those worm-drive clamps on a fuel line. If you torque them down tight enough to hold up to the vibration, they damage the hose. Even though it seems counter-intuitive, simple spring clamps are better, and they do make band-clamps for fuel lines.

But not worm-drive. Ever.

Not sure if the manual pump has to be USCG approved. If not, you could go to a u-pull it junkyard and get one off of a 70-80's Chevy v8. You will also need the inner rod, plate and the two bolts to put it on.

I would fix the leaking hose with better hoses and clamps for now, and work on getting the correct parts in the near future. I'm sure you want to take your boat out since you just got it. But I would fix it as soon as possible.

Hows your blower? Is it working properly? It's for venting out any gas fumes in the engine bay before you start the engine. They run around $40.00 and I need a new one as we speak. On my list...

Yes the blower works great, I run it for 4 minutes before I start the engine. I also check the engine after I start it that's actually how I found the fuel leak. I will get new clamps as well for my new fuel lines.

I did get marine fuel lines to replace all of the old lines

Just replaced my blower today. The old one worked but screeched liked a sick squirrel. Found a bunch of large mud dobber nests in my vent hoses. I'm going to need to figure out how to cover my vents and keep them out while the boats in the drive way.

The new motor is super quiet!

If your blower hose is similar to drier vent hose, and just slips on over the fan's fitting, you can cut a piece of screen a few inches larger all around. Put it over the fitting and slide the blower hose on. Once it's all clamped together, it should be pretty secure.

pw, any fuel pump has to be marine rated. car pumps vent the diaphram to the atmosphere, used in a boat it would vent gasoline out the vent hole when the diaphram ruptures into the bilge and he goes boom.
