I have a rusted out trim pump bracket in my cruiser.
Has anyone replaced one of these or made one out of a material that will not rust out and have the trim pump slide in engine compartment. Searay dealer wants approx $314.00 plus to replace it, that's 2 hours labor plus parts.....phooey.:smt021

There is a stainless steel replacement.

The reason mine rusted is that it sits in an area where there is puddled water. So - I made two plastic spacers 1/2 inch thick (around 1" x 3") to go under the "feet" of this bracket. I sanded the exisiting bracket and re-spray painted it. Now it sits higher than any standing water in the bilge. I did not buy the stainless , but that is another option for you.

Thanks for the reply. You would think by now someone would have created a plastic mount just for this condition. The dealer told me that they replace these all the time $$$$$$$. I guess I'll look for some plactic shelving material and make one. Thanks:smt115
