1988 268 Sundancer

I have very little teak on the out side I have the SS rails other than the pulpit and the Swimplatform inserts most is in the Cabin. I am thinking about going tothe local welding shop and seeing what it would cost to make a SS swim platform.

How did you get those teak rails looking so nice, I want to do mine, however, I do not have any idea as to how to take them off.

OOP's Sorry I thought you were talking to me.:smt021

Maybe late next year but I know I well never reach the quality of Just Me's boat.

Thanks C R
How long have you had yours? Was it in the shape it is now when you bought it? I know you said that you re-did the stickers was there any thing else you did?

I'm going to see what I can do with mine when the weather brakes, right now I am working in the Mechanicals so it will be running reliably in the spring then when I can take the tarps off I will start buffing. What kind of rubbing compound and wax do you use?

....... Around 3 years, All stripes and decals replaced. Had a trailer made, sanded on some of the teak, lot's of detailing. sand and painted the drives, they were white, new alpha 1 decals.New props and zink tabs, new rubrail insert. the inside this boat looked almost mint. The owners before me took very good care of her. Next year i would like to replace the canvas, it has faded some over the years. Can't recall the buffing compound or wax i used, She was shining when i got it. I traded a 2003 Deuce with 300 miles on it for her, I looked on line for a long while, this was the one i wanted, I think this will be my last boat, She will last a long time. Later i will post some pics of her when i first got it.

I love the lake first thing in the morning, just me and a few fishing boats

Yea it doesn’t get any better than watching the sun come up with the quiet and all. I equally enjoy watching the sun sets after a day of fun. I am going to try and get a slip so the wife can meet me at the boat after work and we can just take off for a while during the week, not as crowded then.

Just me,

Great looking boat! Where did you get your replacement decals and striping? Also, did you detail the boat yourself? If so, what buffer did you use and what type of polish?
I can't wait until Spring!

I just went out and looked at mine, I have he back seat out and looked under the gunnel you can see the bolts and nut's the sides are the same but the back on the sides look like they will be a bear unless you have an air rachet an a really deep, deep well socket or take the side panel off.
