Placed the seat bases in the boat today to see how they fit.
Next, I need to get these somewhat mounted in the spot they need to be, then start making my sundeck.
I believe I'm going to use this hinge \/ for my sundeck so that I don't have to build a boxed area at the rear of the sundeck for a regular piano hinge. I think this type of hinge will last longer and be stronger since it would mount to the bottom of the sundeck lid, instead of on the side (which would be really stressful to the wood). Along with some support shocks, it should work out pretty good.
