1973 Sea Ray 200....
Engines
Ford 460 Engine, with Berkeley Jet Drive
Does anyone know where I can find an online parts manual for a 1973 Sea Ray 200? Or know where I can go online, type in the boat info, and it will tell me what kind of steering cable I need for this boat? All of the websites I have checked just list cables, but I am not sure which one I need for this boat? Are they universal, or do you need to match exact? Please help.....:smt100

Welcome to CSR, there is a wealth of info here. Be sure to put your Boat info in your signature block so people can better help you.

I would go over to the IBoats Forums. They have a section called Adults Only (don't worry its not a porn site!) They have all of the Mercruiser Service Manuals for every engine downloadable online for free, you will need the number 1 book. There should be a parts list in there. The cable will for sure be discontinued but with the old part number you should be able to do an internet search and find the new on that will work in its place. Make sure you follow the directions on how to use the online manuals, it can be tricky downloading them.

Good Luck!

The boat has a Berkely PackaJet rather than a standard prop. Does this change which manual I need, or will it still be "book 1"?

Where do I find the "IBoats" Forum? Cannot seem to locate it anywhere.

haha A lot of good people over on IBoats, but this is the forum I will be visiting often over the next couple.....

I found some nice Analog big monster race gauges through that site. I'm not that impressed with the digital smartcraft stuff.
A black dash with big white gauges with a stainless trim on the gauges looks darn good. Theres even big GPS speedo gauges if you want max accuracy

I was talking about the Forums over at Offshore. Those guys know engine building better then anyone!

My 1973 has an OMC settup. Came with the twin cable "tru-coarse" steering. Now OMC with power steering used Tele Flex cable.
But as was said above, what drive are you running?
