It seems that time can erase that memory of you telling yourself that you would never restore an old boat again...lol. Damn you Craigslist..!

My newest project is a 1970 SRV240. I tried not to buy it.... I offered the guy a price so low I was sure he would never take it. Whoops...

The boat was filthy and filled with junk and trash, but with just a few hours of elbow grease I was becoming quite happy with my purchase The floors and decks are rock solid. How ever, the wiring has been cannibalized, so I am in need of a good wiring diagram. I was looking for one in PDF format if such a thing exists.

Wish me luck & thanks in advance!

Good luck, partner. I posted a similar message a couple years ago. No joy. My '84 210CC has a very rudimentary wiring diagram that doesn't fully or accurately depict wiring as installed.

When restoring my 240srv, the first thing I did was cut the 15 wires alligator clipped to the batteries. I installed an essential bus bar, which powered the lower unit tilt, the blower, trim tabs, port starboard bus bar, and radio bus bar. Now it is a very organized system..

Hi ! Well, what type of motor and I/O is in your Sea Ray?
I have a 1977 WE240 with a OMC 235 I/O.
It is really a Ford 351 with a OMC I/O unit. I purchased a
OMC service manual and a SELOC service manual via eBAY.

The real key to making the boat work is the throttle/gearshift.
There are several types depending on the type of I/O unit.
The OMC units can be a Electric shift or a mechanical shift.
The Mercruiser I/O's can take several forms also.
So, before you can proceed you will need the Motor type(s)
and the I/O types.

Regards and P O R (Press On Regardless) !
