13" vs. 19" TV

Greg,

What is the viewing angle like on that TV? It looks nice but I've found most of the native 720p 15" sets (at least last year) had bad viewing angles especially from below. I've never seen a Coby set which is why I ask.

Thanks

Gary,

I have the set here in the house, I just powered it up. You are correct, bottom view angle is probably only about 20 deg. It starts getting dark almost immediately, but is usable to about 20 deg. (and then again from 75 to 90). Left and right sides are good to just about 90 degrees. Top gets a light band at about 20 degrees, but then disappears and is good all the way to 90. I never really noticed this on the boat though, I guess we never viewed it from below. However the mount I use is tilt adjustable so you could adjust for the angle. Another nice thing about this set is that it is powered from a 12V WAM, so I made a 12V cigarette lighter cord, so we can power it with the genny off. If we were keeping the boat I would have ran a 12V line to it.

12 V?
Do you have the model # of the Samsung?

Thanks...

I think you are getting confused. Black Pearl the OP has the samsung and Lady Taz has a Coby.

Both have posted model numbers... Nice to know the Coby is 12V also... I plan on doing the same thing Lady Taz has and finding a mount that will tilt down a bit thanks to Gary's post on viewing angle... Something I never really considered much before...

I believe if I followed it right this is hte 12V model they mentioned..
